ABOUT
Stef Claes Architecture and interior design is a design studio working across architecture, interiors and furniture & art curation.
Based between Geneva, Lisbon and Knokke, the studio develops residential and hospitality projects across Europe, approaching each commission as a carefully composed environment where space, materials and objects are considered together.
Rather than pursuing a fixed stylistic language, the work is guided by a sensitivity to context, proportion and atmosphere. Architecture, interiors and curated elements are conceived in dialogue, allowing each project to evolve into a place that feels both timeless and personal.
APPROACH
The studio works across three complementary disciplines: architecture, interiors and furniture & art curation. Each can be undertaken independently or combined within a single project, allowing the studio to contribute at different scales and moments in the life of a space.
Every project begins with conversation. Understanding how clients live and experience their surroundings informs a design process that unfolds through close collaboration with craftsmen, consultants and builders.
STEF CLAES
Architect and designer Stef Claes studied architecture at Sint Lucas in Ghent. Before establishing his studio, he gained experience working on projects in the United States, MalAysia and paris, experiences that continue to form a design sensibility shaped by cultural exchange, architectural clarity and a deep appreciation for materials and craft.
Today the studio develops projects across Europe, bringing together architecture, interiors and curated objects to create environments that are thoughtful, balanced and enduring.
PHILOSOPHY
Architecture frames a space.
Interiors shape its atmosphere.
Objects bring it to life.
The studio’s ambition is to create environments where these elements exist in quiet dialogue, allowing spaces to evolve naturally and age gracefully over time.
